Okay, so you downloaded the compatibility matrix or a drawing and you can't do anything with it. Well, fear not, here is a simple tutorial on how to use WinZip to open the file you downloaded.

1. Before starting this tutorial, you will want to download WinZip from the Tools Page and install the program following the on screen instructions.

2. Download the compatibility matrix file (or a drawing file) by clicking on the link provided in the corresponding section of our website. We suggest downloading the file to your desktop so you know where it is when you need to open it.

3. Find the icon for the file you just downloaded. If you followed our advice in step 2, you just have to minimize all the currently opened windows to see your desktop. The icon you are looking for will look something like this:

Once you find it, double click on it.

4. This will open a window that looks like this:

You may be prompted to "try now" if you have not registered WinZip. Once you click the "try now" button, you will see the screen above.

5. You can now open the compatibility matrix (or other file) directly by double clicking on the Excel icon under the Name column. If you would rather extract the file to your hard drive so you can access it in the future directly through Microsoft Excel, press the "Extract" button at the top of the WinZip window.

6. You should now see a screen that looks like this:

On the right side choose the folder you would like to save the file to. This will change the text in the box below "Extract to:" We suggest using either the My Documents folder or the desktop folder. Once the folder is selected, press the extract button in the upper right hand corner of the window.

7. You can now close the WinZip window and find the unzipped file in the folder you chose in step 5. You may also delete the original file you downloaded that ends in ".zip" This is the compressed version of the file and is no longer needed once you have an uncompressed version.
